Russo is Right!!!

First of all I had planned on doing a different post today, but something else caught my eye and that something was a blog done by Vince Russo. During the history of pro-wrestling their have been a number of controversial figures in the profession, but few can have a story twisted up in so many different ways then Mr. Vince Russo. To go back in time a little bit and allow all of you to get a better idea of the story we need to go back to I believe when TNA was still on Spike and more issues started to arise for TNA wrestling. Those issues were sparked by a breaking news story that against Spike's wishes Vince Russo had been helping TNA by critiquing their shows to help them make things better. Once the story broke and was proven true Russo was let go from company and that was basically the last nail in the coffin for TNA on Spike.

Now fast forward around a year and or so and Vince Russo is repapering in the news due to the fact that he was looking for a consulting job with Lucha Underground a long time after being let go by TNA. Next move up to around 18 months after he got let go to where he is now contacting POP TV to become a consult for them to help make TNA better. As of this writing nothing can be confirmed as to Russo and or his status working with POP TV or anything of that nature. The reason I chose to write about this is because this is a perfect indication of why people hate the IWC (Internet Wrestling Community). To take a quote directly from Mr. Russo "Glenn’s words of sarcasm were used as a SERIOUS HEADLINE on various IWC websites, who—by the way—hate my guts, much having to do with–“How the hell can Vince Russo still be relevant in the wrestling business for 25 years—while we never spent a day working for a legitimate wrestling company”. Honestly—at first I thought it was a joke. Think of the logic of all this. Think of the idea of me selling my services to be PAID by POPTV, with the “real”intention of “Sabotaging” TNA in order for POPTV to DROP THEM—which would mean that I NO LONGER have a job as a paid consultant."

I mean take a look at the quote can you see how dumb people are and why a lot of internet wrestling writers aren't respected by anyone what so ever, because they don't check the facts and are just out for the views. In my book any site just out for views should be barred from having the ability to collect any sort of money from their site, because anyone dumb enough to report the story without checking the context of which the words were said in shouldn't be able to drag the name of wrestling writer through the mud like they are. But that's just my opinion!!

Like I have mentioned on more than one occasion in the past why would any writer, consultant, author, video maker, or anyone with ties to wrestling want TNA to go out of business or try to SABOTAGE the company to get them kicked off another network. Because if they did then they would loss money and I am not talking about TNA as I am talking about the person who makes money by coming up with content about the company. All I am saying for writers don't be so view hungry and actually think before you post something just as your way to help recondition the readers that not all wrestling writers are disrespectful, view hungry, joke to the journalistic field. Oh yeah and I hate to break it to you Internet Wrestling Community but Mr. Russo was a good booker he just changed the perception of the business much like light/junior weights are doing now.
