Shoot of the Week: Paul Heyman on ECW's bankruptcy & WWE Transition

This is the series in which I try and say the least I can and let the video I chose do most of the talking for me considering the title of the post. However, it's not just about the video it's also about personal feelings regarding the topic of the post. All things considered I would have never seen an episode of the original ECW if it wasn't for the fact that Vince bought the company out of bankruptcy, and for that I am grateful. But also everyone seems to talk about the spring of 2001 as the time the wrestling world changed because WCW went under and WWE had no direct competition it seems that everyone forgets that ECW went under two months before WCW did.

However, because of bankruptcy proceedings ECW didn't truly close until the courts decision was final near the end of 2004 when Vince actually bought ECW to make the Rise & Fall of ECW DVD. Vince has always been a bright business man and purchasing the tape library of ECW was a very good decision and not just for his pocket, but also to allow the fans of the original ECW to relive the past or see the original for the first time.
