I don't always find an event worth looking back on, but when I find one it is normally a one match event and this show from later years of WCW is no different. Any fans that remember this event are likely aware of the event being infamous for Vince Russo's shoot promo on Hulk Hogan basically firing him from WCW during the show and the entire match between Hogan & Jarrett for the World Title. I can't do justice the amount of controversy and lure that has become tied up with this event the best thing I can say is for you to do your own research and form your own conclusions from the research.
Overall there are two interesting notes I would like to point out with one being that Booker, T lost to Kanyon earlier in the night and would then defeat Jeff Jarrett in the main event to win the World Title. In my opinion, there was a problem with the booking on this show, because even though Kanyon defeated Booker there was never any follow up which would've been a breath of fresh air for at least a short time; also this would've at least given Kanyon a nice thank you for all the hard work he had put in for years working for WCW. The other note was that this show was the final event for Eric Bischoff as an employee of WCW as he would leave the company the following day after a meeting with Brad Seigel in California. Either way this event has provided a little bit of insight into how messed up things were during this time in WCW.
