Number 6: Nasty Boys- One of the top of teams of the 1990's. Sags and Knobbs won Tag Title team gold everywhere they went and were consider a top team in both major companies. If you don't agree then you can go take a trip to Nastyville and take up with them yourselves.
Number 18: Rock and Roll Express: Though they are consider one of the greatest teams of the 1980's. Ricky & Robert's popularity and presence would wain in the next decade. There is no doubting their talent or their effect on Tag Team wrestling but their effect on the 1990's wasn't as evident.
Number 14: Hollywood Blondes: This was first time that both Austin & Pillman would get the opportunity to display their tremendous potential. Unfortunately there potential was unrealized in their chosen company. However, during their time as a team they were WCW having great matches and being the best part of the company for a time.
Though this post may not really fit in this section of the site I chose to just put it in here for the sake of changing things up. That is the same reason why I chose to do this post as a way to change things up a bit as it's been a while since the last time I did a post like this. So let's get into it and find out who I think the top teams from the 1990's are:
Like everything in this great sport Tag Team wrestling has seen it's phases both good and bad. The 1980's were the height of Tag Team wrestling with teams like the Midnight Express and Rock and Express. The 1990's things sorts of went quite for a time when there was very few established tag teams. Things picked back up in the next decade, but as the 2000's came to a close the importance of the tag team division did as well. In this "mini series" I will be looking back at the top teams from each era based on my opinion.
