Anyone who has been a fan of the website since the start know that I love the history of wrestling and have always tried to put the history of this great sport on a pedestal. For those who may not know why that is because history is forgotten about not spoken of or given a chance in the spotlight. But much like other sports wrestling has there way of maintaining history and protecting history for years to come. The way that wrestling companies and just the brand in general has done that is with a wrestling hall of fame.
Now everyone who has watched the WWE at least once on the "Road to Wrestlemania" is aware of the WWE Hall of Fame as they have had a new class every year since 2004. However, most fans probably aren't aware of the Pro-Wrestling Hall of Fame which is located in Wichita Falls, TX. Much like the WWE the Pro-Wrestling Hall of Fame has a class every year and this years class included the likes of Mick Foley, Shawn Michaels, Sputnik Monroe, Tatsumi Fujinami, and others who were very deserving of the honor. They also allow you to click on listed pictures of the inductees to find a career retrospective for you to find exactly why certain people belong in the Hall of Fame.
Even though over the years the WWE has made some stupid choices for inductions and may have inducted some people ahead of others the one point still remains that at least they have a Hall of Fame. This way the WWE can shine the light on the names of yesteryear and allow fans of today to find out who the Fabulous Freebirds were or a forgotten name from the "Era of Attitude." The concept of a Hall of Fame does a lot of good for the company and also gives the legends of the past one more chance to be the center of attention on a major stage.
